  On August 13 and 14 we have the visit and confirmed seminar of the professional fighter of Jiu Jitsu and Judo, black belt in both modalities and expert in NOGI JUDO, Owen Livesey . And with him, his wife and professional fighter Julia Scardone , black belt in Judo and blue belt in Jiu Jitsu. Without any doubt, and knowing the competitive path of Julia Scardone, we could not miss this great opportunity, and more having her among us during those days to offer and organize a seminar to our Jiujiteiras, beginners or interested in entering our interesting world of grappling.  An opportunity not to be missed. Ju Scardone, is an active fighter with great competitive experience, she  was initiated in Judo at a very young age, 5 years old . Black Belt in Judo and ex member of Team Great Britain as well as being a BJJ Blue Belt.   Today I had the opportunity to reunite with the old school, with a small part of those with whom I continued my journey in Jiu Jitsu as a blue belt, back in 2015, at the Carlson Gracie Germany. Leaving my homeland was not an easy decision, a lot of pain and sadness when one is forced to do it to survive leaving everything behind, family, friends.... Sadness, loneliness, longing, is a day to day during the first months, but I can say that thanks to Jiu Jitsu, I felt welcomed, supported and helped by a group of excellent people. Not before, of course, showing my hard work, perseverance, dedication, effort and respect. All this helped me a lot in my integration into the team and in gaining friendships that are still with me today. Many years have passed, and dreams that seemed impossible have been fulfilled, as with the creation of Casa de Luta Saarbrücken , something that would not have been possible without the help, motivation, thrust and credibility of all those who believed in me.

  As every Monday in Casa de Luta Saarbrücken, and taking advantage of the good weather and the current high temperatures, we continue with our work of Wrestling in the Arena. Two hours of training, where we included technique, drills and combat. During the combat time we always organize a small tournament with the participants of the training, thus preparing and getting our minds used to the upcoming tournaments of Jiu Jitsu, Grappling and Wrestling to come in the following months. One of the great benefits of training at the beach is the disconnection, which especially take advantage of those who live a routine life in cities that are far from this beautiful and motivating environment.   We continue to take advantage of the good weather in Saarbrücken and with it the Beach Wrestling training in the Arena, perfect for practicing all kinds of takedowns and Suplexes without fear of injury to our training partners. The training takes place every Monday morning with our Casa De Luta MMA fighter Noah Gugnon. The training starts with an intensive warm up, technical work, and a small tournament to finish.  The rules of beach wrestling are pretty simple. The first wrestler to three points wins. The matches take place on the beach in a seven meter diameter circle and one point is awarded for a takedown or a pushout. If there is a feet to back takedown, then two points are awarded. So why should you try beach wrestling? Well first off, it is a great way to get more experience in a fun way. Because you are in the sand, most wrestlers aren’t doing a lot of takedowns that would require their faces to be in the sand, so there is a lot of upper body throws and set ups done. This wi

  Mraz Avdoyan, Abel Simon (abelbjj) & Bruno Amaddeo Another Open Mat in Casa de luta Saarbrücken full of surprises, this time with the surprise visit of the fighter and super talent in grappling, Bruno Amaddeo , at his young age already with countless victories with high level fighters in Europe,  and several participations in the ADCC European Trials.  On this day we had an intensive Grappling training from 11:00 to 14:00, after attending the Muay Thai class with our new coach, Jun "Trestle" Tan , where the only break was every two rounds of 6 minutes of high intensity, where we were rotating, Mraz Avdoyan , Bruno Amaddeo and me (abelbjj).  A training that we will continue to repeat in preparation for the next competitions to come.   Surprise visit today by our friend and black belt Pierre Manzo, who showed up this morning during morning training at Casa de Luta Saarbrücken . A visit, which makes me very happy, since it supposes, rolls of great intensity and exchange of knowledge. A day in which we have worked on various sequences, which included attack, defense and submission. Two hours of intense training, 1 hour of technique added to 1 hour of rolls.
