Noah Gugnon MMA Fight cancelled after last night's weigh-in at Event MMA Xplosif in France

A F*cking Nightmare! I don't know whether to laugh or cry...  Fight cancelled after last night's weigh-in at Event MMA Xplosif in France! Monday I find out that Noah's opponent was injured. Wednesday we are told that we have a replacement and if Noah wants to fight with a small weight change. Without any hesitation, Noah accepts. Friday Noah is on his way to the weigh in event, one day before the fight, while I finish my classes at Casa de Luta. Until the weigh in everything normal, 73 kilos nailed as agreed. Hours later I receive a message from Noah telling me that I don't need to go there because the fight was cancelled due to the federation not accepting his opponent's permission to fight that day. Noah tries to negotiate and fight in a higher division, against another opponent, of another fight that had been cancelled, but the guy refuse to fight him. Nothing left to do… Just back home with great frustration and disappointment.  Almost two months of hard team

Learning in BJJ and how this concept can be applied to all things in life by Matt Heafy of Trivium

Once you learn "how to learn" in BJJ - things will become more clear. What do I mean by "once you learn how to learn"? BJJ and singing both are skills that need constant work. Using the example of singing-you can easily see how this can apply to BJJ, cooking, writing music, anything. Some people pick up singing very easily "those who don´t need lessons or warm ups-they naturally don´t do it "right") - then there's people like me (those who did it wrong for years, had to unlearn everything, and had to instill a 5 day a week/ 2-4 hours a day training - for years (and I still do this day) - to undo the bad habits and reafirm the good habits). Proper singing is retraining your body to respond different and create good muscle memory habits so you no longer have to think about it. BJJ is the same. In the early years - you're not quite sure mentally or physically how to move and whatto do; adn when you think abnout what you´re dping/what you need t

Evolution as fighting style in Casa de Luta Mixed Martial Arts Saarbrücken

At Casa de Luta Saarbrücken we continue to work day by day on our wrestling with effort and dedication. A totally new discipline for us coming from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, where normally most of our game starts in guard .  Wrestling is very interesting to learn, and with many similarities in concepts and technique with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. A hard art that requires a lot of strength, coordination, explosiveness and great timing.  Having in our ranks coaches of the stature of Jurij Kohl  (former Greco Roman Olympic wrestler), Lucas Gugnon (National Judo Champion) and Noah Gugnon (Active Freestyle wrestler) with numerous victories behind him, there is no chance that our standup game will not improve or become dangerous. At Casa de Luta Saarbücken we do not limit ourselves to train what we have already learned as coaches, we always look beyond, without closing our minds, and always trying to improve our game to what it is today in competitions. We don't let our fighting style become obso
