BJJ SAARBRÜCKEN: Marcus Buchecha "Don’t give up, never quit and keep working hard"

 

In a great story of persistence, One of the greatest BJJ competitors of all time (14x black belt world champion) Marcus Buchecha Almeida started his BJJ competition journey without winning a single competition match in his first 8 tournaments. He was competing very often but kept losing. Most people would have quit or taken a break, but not Buchecha. He kept training hard and pushing. His persistence paid off and he started winning…

He talked about his experience on IG:

“I lost the first EIGHT tournaments in which I competed and I lost them all in the FIRST MATCH… This picture was taken after my semi final match in the Worlds 2012, I can’t forget this feeling, going to my first open weight Final and winning my first Double gold.

Don’t give up, never quit and keep working hard, If I got where I am today, you can reach greater heights too.
